All games are alpha and beta tested. They’re tested until the devs are happy with their games. Game testers do make a difference, but you’re not going to be the deciding factor. You’re a drop in the bucket. Devs take the collective feedback and find the happy medium.

They’re great, but you need to be comfortable thinking out loud, having a good headset/earbuds with a clear mic. JVC wired earbuds are cost effective and have a great mic. You have to hole yourself away for 15-30 minutes per session, or do an hour a day for week long tests. I suggest testing your mic out before joining. If it’s too echo-y, setva pillow in front of you to absorb ambient sound.

I really wish for a job now because I would like to be a QA tester or a reviewer for any game. I am convinced that all games today really didn’t or don’t have the potential to be better because they do something that the players, us, don’t like. I feel like a good tester and reviewer can really make future video games better.
