I would just like to reiterate the importance of separating your recycling materials by material grade ( clean , dirty, mixed , stripped wire / cable , non stripped wire / cable,). It will make a huge difference in your profit margin, example > non stripped copper wire /cable will give you somewhere between .60 -.90 per lb .depending on market value. That very same copper wire / cable stripped ( insulation removed from wiring) with bring you somewhere in the field of $2.80 -$3.80 per lb. , again depending on the market price. That is a huge difference but definitely one worth you putting a little of your time and effort into. Do the same with all your recycling materials , brass , aluminum, copper , etc. , you’ll be happy you did.

I do like that you encourage people to clean up the copper as well. Some dealers might pay more for it if they don’t have to do the cleaning themselves.
