They charge $49.95 for a background check that is completed by a company named Turn. Turn offers 3 levels of background checks ranging in price from $19.95-$29.95 and $39,95. These people have the Enhanced Checks report for $29.95 (I would imagine that they are getting a better price than that but cannot prove it.) So lets assume they pay full price. That means they are profiting a minimum of $20 per applicant. How horrible is that? It shows how poorly the drivers are viewed and the total lack of respect they receive. Even the nastiest gig companies such as Uber or Amazon don’t rip off the drivers during the application process, they wait until after a driver has been activated. Additionally Goshare states that it takes approximately 3-5 business days for the results. That is false. I have been waiting for 13 days for an answer. When I had the nerve to send an email politely asking for an update on my application and background check I received a sharp reply saying how busy they are and they’ll get back to me when they have time. In other words go away. Since then i have done some research and it is difficult to find any positive remarks or reviews by current or former drivers and the ones I do come across seem as if they were written by Goshare. Numerous complaints about receiving partial payments for deliveries, poor driver support often with the support agent giving attitude to the drivers. One driver spent 6 hours driving over 300 miles only to find out upon arrival that the recipient had already received the item and that Goshare had accidentally created a duplicate delivery. Goshare cancelled the delivery and paid the driver a cancellation fee of $15. (6 hrs and 300 miles $15!) I will be asking for my bank to reverse the charge of $49.95. This company lacks a moral compass.
